Dogs ‘n’ stuff
When the former mayor of Bucharest (now president of Romenia) decided 1 million stray dogs in Bucharest should be killed, it took little time for Brigitte Bardot to arrive and successfully protest against this decision. Rumor goes that the mayor ordered many vans, to transport the dogs to France, with a complementary note stating something along the lines of: ‘If you like them so much, you can have them, they’re yours’. But according to this rumor, the vans were not allowed over the Hungarian border, and were sent back to the streets of Bucharest where they still roam the streets….
